Other Initatives: The Sioux Hudson Literacy Council is actively involved in an e-channel learning project entitled "Good Learning Anywhere". The mandate of the project is to reach adult literacy learners who are located in remote, isolated communities. "Good Learning Anywhere" has been working towards this goal for four years and has recently partnered with the ONLC to develop Essential Skills modules for this synchronous on-line virtual classroom program.
Comments: SHLC has also established small outreach efforts with welcoming communities that have computer labs which can host the "Good Learning Anywhere" classes. Communities such as Hudson, Ignace, Kingfisher and Cornwall have all participated by providing computer access to this e-channel synchronous on-line virtual classroom program.
