A Novel Study of Beautiful Scars by Tom Wilson

$30.00

Beautiful Scars is the memoir of Tom Wilson, an artist, a singer, a songwriter, and a musician who is best known as the front man for the Canadian rock group Junkhouse. In the book, Tom writes about his career and his life as a rock star. But Tom is also writing about a secret that was kept from him by the family who adopted him- his Mohawk heritage. Tom only discovered the truth later in life at considerable emotional cost.

This resource was designed to help you explore Beautiful Scars- both the book and the documentary. But this resource is also designed to help you grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. We will explore valuable skills such as finding the main idea, combining information from different places in the text, recognizing when a writer is biased or switches points of view, finding hidden meaning, finding differences and similarities between pieces of writing, and reading closely to find details that can help you understand what you read.
