This resource will help learners understand the fundamental skills for apprenticeship and trades mathematics that align with some of the Ontario Ministry of Education’s course MBF3C (Foundations of College Mathematics).

Reviewing and providing foundational concepts such as, the explanation of symbols to enhance understanding. It provides terminologies, definitions, and explanations and in some cases more than one explanation in order to help the learner to better understand math and will be discussed in a holistic and connected way.

Included are 4 lessons, with practice and lesson review questions:

  1. Fractions

  2. Decimals, Ratios, Rates and Proportions

  3. Key Concepts and Processes

  4. Powers, Exponents and Roots

This resource follows the Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework (OALCF) expectations.
